Making Money at Home?

I need to earn a living like everyone else, but the responsibility of three kids and an ill relative reduced my employment options. Working from home seemed like a viable option, and proved to be so. However, circumstances changed, and using my home as a base wasn't enough for me. I needed to rethink my options, and an online business seemed the perfect solution. But how do I start, and what on earth should I do?
